Shipyard Plantation is a residential resort community on the islands south end -- the heart of Hilton Head Island. The lush 803-acre plantation boasts three nine-hole golf courses at Shipyard Golf Club and the Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club, rated among the top 50 tennis resorts in the country. Shipyards beautiful beach is accessed by guests of the plantation via the Shipyard Beach Club. Shipyard is home to the oceanfront Crowne Plaza Hilton Head Island Beach Resort, which offers fine dining plus casual fare, nightclubs, shops, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an on-site health club. Within the secure gates of Shipyard you will enjoy lush vegetation, winding trails for walking, biking, rollerblading or jogging, well manicured landscapes and a plethora of scenic lagoons and natural Lowcountry landscapes. Shipyard has single family homes and villa residences and a variety of resort rental complexes. Minimum age required at check-in is 22. Check-in is at 4-5 pm. Office is open from 8am to 5pm M-F, 2pm to 8pm Satuday, and 10am to 5pm Sunday. Office is on second floor, door located on Executive Park Road side of building. Valid credit card and ID are required at check-in. Minimum age required to check in is 22. Check-out is at 10 am. After hours lock boxes are located on the Executive Park Road side of the building. Please call Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm to obtain code. Hilton Head Island is the largest sea island on the east coast and home to miles of wide sandy beaches, world-class sports amenities, a PGA Tour Championship, fabulous shopping, dining and a variety of vacation accommodations, from studios to homes.
