CONTEST
RULES
Photographers may enter contest
with a minimum of two wedding or bridal photos One photo must be beach
and bridal related subject and location. All entries submitted
must be in digital 600x700 pixels, 72 pixels per inch and in RGB JPEG
format.
First phase of contest will be
judged by professional wedding planners. All entries will be
posted online and grouped by state. Wedding planners will vote for
their top 2 choices online.
A random selection of photos
will be publicized online and in wedding publications.
In the second phase of the
contest, the top six vote getters will be split into two groups of
three. A group of three photographers will be sent to Grand Velas
Riviera Maya Resort, and another group of three to Grand Velas Riviera
Nayarit. Photographers selected for this phase will be allowed to bring
one assistant each with them. Airline tickets, room and meals will be
provided for five days.
The first day will be for
scouting locations. By 5:00, each photographer will select 3 primary
resort locations and three secondary (two per day for three days) and
the time of day they would like to shoot. If there is a conflict, the
location will be assigned to each photographer on a different day.
Models, gown sponsors,
stylists, make-up artists, and hotel staff will be supplied and present
to assist.
Photographers and their
assistants will have the fifth day to relax and enjoy a vacation.
Judges selected from resort
marketing companies, wedding professionals and their association,
airline, gown and wedding magazine sponsors will vote to select the
“Best Wedding Photographer in America”.
The photos from the six
photographers and their credits will be publicized online and in
wedding publications as well as naming “America’s Best”.
After selection, the “Best in
America” photographer will be identified in contest public relations to
media, to wedding planner trade, in hotel advertising, and in
magazine editorial and advertorials.

AGREEMENT
Photographers agree to allow
all contest sponsors to reproduce their entries online and in print for
contest publicity purposes.
Sponsors and photographers
agree that photographs will not be sold to any other party and will
only be used for each sponsor’s marketing and advertising purposes.
On the fifth day, photographers
selected as finalists agree to transfer copies of all photos taken at
the resorts to contest officials to be submitted for judging “Best in
America”.
Photographers selected as
finalists grant unlimited reproduction rights to each contest sponsor
for print and online marketing. Sponsors to include and are limited to
hotel, airline, wedding association, wedding magazine, gown designer
and floral.
