Destination Weddings The new way to save!

Megan Dolan Ownby-Manager Almost 2 Heaven Chapel in Gatlinberg Tn Email

The best tip I have is an obvious one.  Get married at an all inclusive resort.  If you package your wedding photos, chapel site, flowers,  video, photography, honeymoon and all of the extras, you will save a fortune.   I hope this helps.  Thank you, Megan Dolan Ownby-Manager.

Get married at Lake Tahoe....!  Limiting your guest list and planning your wedding at one of Lake Tahoes private  homes, historic sites, public golf courses and state parks can save brides and grooms money because the cost of ceremony and reception sites are generally lower than that in the major cities. Guests save money because there are many opportunities for group rates on lodging, car rentals, and entertainment. Brides and grooms save money on vendors such as top photographers in the area because they are less expensive than major cities due to the competitive environment. Guests also tend to make a vacation out of the event and stay for days before and after the wedding day. In addition, some of Lake Tahoes nicest chapels have been upgraded to accommodate todays bride who want style and elegance.

No Snowballs in Sacramento or how to have a wedding beyond your wildest dreams without it costing a fortune.

Let your imagination run loose on your wedding plans, then get even more imaginative.  Even in places like Sacramento or San Diego, when it comes to weddings, there are inevitably snowballs. We have all heard of the snowball effect.  Once you start a wedding rolling, it gets bigger and bigger until it is so big that you need to mortgage the family, including the cat and the dog, to pay for it.  It has to be done. If you invite Aunty Margaret, then Aunty Milly will be terribly upset if she is left out and will cut you out of her will. If cousin George comes (and he is a must) then his eleven kids must be invited.  And so it goes on and on. That is the wedding snowball.

The problem is that nobody wants to upset a member of the family especially your new partners family, but every one expects an invite.  You finish up having to hire three firms of caterers, the local football stadium and take reservations on every hotel for ten miles around.  How can you avoid this without alienating yourselves from, not just one but two families? How to get the presents without filling them with food and drink at vastly inflated prices?  Easily, you go somewhere else.  Can you imagine telling your aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, friends of friends and other assorted people you have never even heard of, that you are going to plight your troth on the battlements of a British castle.  That you are to be carried in a glass carriage to wed your love in the grandest of British mansions.  How would you like to have a truly medieval wedding, in an 11th century monastery where 'medieval' really happened.  Every one will be so thrilled for you.  They will think it is one of the most romantic things they have heard of.  Of course every one is welcome to attend, if they pay for themselves.  You will be the stars of innovation in two families, and the presents, of course, are still forthcoming.  And for the cost of only a few hundred dollars air fare, you have a small but exquisitely romantic wedding with only the people you really want around you and who really want to be there.  When you get back home, you can publish your wedding photo's of your knight arriving on a white stallion, dressed in armour, on the web for every one to admire and to wish you a long life as full of romance as was your wedding day.  No one would ever dream of being upset that they couldn't be there.  All this for half the cost of that major league stadium full of people. British Heritage Weddings specialise in providing historic weddings in the place that history actually happened, Great Britain.
